Pat Utomi reveals he has cancer

Prof. Pat Utomi, former Presidential candidate of the Labour Party has revealed he has cancer.

The professor of political economy and management expert revealed that a biopsy he conducted in 2022 showed he was positive.

This shining revelation was unveiled via a tweet on his official Twitter handle where he wrote:

When a biopsy showed I was positive last year I began treatment with a cancer Centre with a branch in Ikeja and  VI. I sometimes came from election campaigns to the Ikeja Centre near the Airport. The Doctors would try to smuggle me out from the back. The well known shielded ?”

He also revealed how was transferred abroad for intensive treatment by some special medical teams after the elections.


Once elections were over my young nephews and cousins, Doctors in Europe and the US , joined forces with the Lakeshore people and decided they wanted me in their direct care. That’s how come it seemed I went quiet cause they controlled my phones to reduce stress.

Pat Utomi was highly applauded for his bold move to step down for Peter Obi during the Labour Party primaries.
