Deborah Abiodun Joins Washington Spirit on Three-Year Deal

Super Falcons midfielder, Deborah Abiodun has signed a three-year contract with National Women’s Soccer League, NWSL, side Washington Spirit, with an option for an additional year.

The 21-year-old Nigerian international joins Washington Spirit from Pittsburgh Panthers, where she scored 10 goals and provided two assists in 34 appearances.

Abiodun expressed her excitement about joining the team, stating on the club’s website, “I’m beyond thrilled to take this next step in my career… This isn’t just a dream; it’s a purpose I’ve poured my heart and soul into.”

She added, “I’m ready to give everything I have to the game I love.”

Abiodun’s move to Washington Spirit marks a significant milestone in her career, and she is expected to make a significant impact on the team.

With her skills and experience, Abiodun is poised to contribute to Washington Spirit’s success in the NWSL.
