Nigeria’s Super Eagles have kept 44th place in the current FIFA men’s global rankings.

The team concluded the year as Africa’s fifth best team.

This drop comes after bad results in the final AFCON qualifiers for 2025, when the Super Eagles battled against the Benin Republic and Rwanda, resulting in a paucity of wins.

Despite a difficult international break, Nigeria is in the same place as before, according to the rankings published on Thursday by the world football governing body FIFA’s website.

Augustine Eguavoen’s side also maintained fifth place in Africa.

The West Africans behind Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, and Algeria. The Eagles slid eight places to 44th in the November rankings.

Argentina, the reigning world champions, maintained their position atop the rankings.

France is ranked second, Spain third, England fourth, and Brazil fifth.
