The Katsina State Government has rewarded a woman, Malama Abdulkadir-Yanmama, with ₦500,000 for her exceptional integrity.

Cyber Reporters gathered that the woman had returned ₦748,320 that was mistakenly paid into her account for the Federal Government’s Home Grown School Feeding Programme.

According to reports, Abdulkadir-Yanmama was not a registered vendor for the programme and therefore did not deserve the payment.

Despite this, she chose to return the money, demonstrating her honesty and integrity.

Her actions were brought to the attention of the Katsina State Government, which decided to reward her for her good deed.

Mudassir Nasir, the Executive Director of the Katsina State Social Investment Programme Agency, presented the reward to Abdulkadir-Yanmama on behalf of the state government.

Nasir praised the woman for her integrity, saying that her actions were a shining example of honesty and good character.

The state’s Auditor-General, Alhaji Anas Tukur-Abdulƙadir, also commended Abdulkadir-Yanmama for her actions, stating that she deserved greater recognition.

Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State directed that the woman be rewarded with ₦500,000 and a commendation letter, in addition to being offered the opportunity to participate in the next school feeding programme.

Abdulkadir-Yanmama expressed her gratitude to the governor and the KASIPA management for the reward and recognition.
