A devastating fire swept through the market at Trademore Estate in Abuja early Monday morning, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

Cyber Reporters gathered that the cause of the fire remains unknown, but eyewitnesses suspect an electrical fault may have sparked the blaze.

According to a resident who identified himself as Joe, the fire was first noticed around 4 a.m.

Joe disclosed that despite efforts to contact the Federal Fire Service and the Federal Capital Territory Fire Service, the situation quickly became intense.

Fortunately, a team of firefighters from Dunamis Church arrived at the scene around 5 a.m. and joined forces with personnel from the Federal Fire Service stations at EFCC and Sauka.

After a two-hour battle, the fire was finally extinguished.

“We are not certain about the cause, but an electrical fault cannot be ruled out. Efforts were made to contact both the Federal Fire Service and the Federal Capital Territory Fire Service, but the situation was intense.

“After two hours of battling the blaze, personnel from the Federal Fire Service stations at EFCC and Sauka successfully extinguished the fire,” Joe said.
