A federal judge has denied Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ request for bail for the third time, as he faces charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.

The decision was made on Wednesday, with prosecutors opposing the request due to concerns about potential witness tampering.

Prosecutors alleged that while in custody, Combs had contacted witnesses and used unauthorized communication platforms.

This raised concerns about the potential for witness tampering, leading to the denial of Combs’ bail request.

Cyber Reporters reports that Federal judge Arun Subramanian stated that no condition or combination of conditions would reasonably assure the safety of the community.

This led to the denial of Combs’ motion, with the judge also rejecting his application to be released from detention to prepare his defense.

Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to all charges, which include allegations of sexually abusing women and coercing them into drug-fueled sex parties using threats and violence.

His criminal trial is set to begin on May 5, 2025.

Cyber Reporters understands that public allegations against Combs have been building since late last year, when singer Cassie alleged that Combs had subjected her to over a decade of coercion and abuse.

However, Combs has denied all allegations, but the charges against him have sparked widespread outrage and concern.

Combs’ lawyers had argued that he should be granted bail, citing the case of former Abercrombie CEO Mike Jeffries, who received bail in a prominent federal sex trafficking case.

However, prosecutors pointed out that the nature and circumstances of the offenses were substantially different, with Combs facing more severe charges.
