Nigerian singer Ruger has jokingly asked fellow artist Wizkid to bequeath his massive fanbase to him when he retires from music.
On X, Ruger tweeted, “@wizkidayo if you ever quit music and Zion isn’t interested, please will your fanbase to me! Name me, Ruger, as the beneficiary in your music will.”
Ruger’s light-hearted request is directed at Wizkid’s devoted fanbase, known as Wizkid FC, widely regarded as one of Africa’s most loyal and dedicated music communities.
Wizkid, the Starboy boss, has yet to respond to Ruger’s playful appeal.
Ruger’s “Bounce” has made waves in the music scene, but inheriting Wizkid’s fanbase would catapult him to new heights.
Only time will tell if Wizkid will grant Ruger’s wish or if Zion will follow in his father’s musical footsteps.
