Madugu Delighted with Super Falcons’ Victory Against Algeria

Nigeria’s Super Falcons impressed interim head coach Justine Madugu with their outstanding performance in friendly matches against Algeria.

The nine-time African champions secured two consecutive victories, showcasing their dominance.

The first match, held at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, saw the Super Falcons triumph with a solid 2-0 win.

Cyber Reporters gathered that the team comprised mostly home-based players, highlighting their strength and cohesion despite limited training sessions.

The second friendly, played at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos, witnessed an even more dominant display.

The Falcons crushed Algeria with a scoreline of 4-1, demonstrating their attacking prowess and growing confidence.

Coach Madugu praised the team for their stellar performance, acknowledging the challenges they faced.

“I commend the girls for their performance, even though we only had very few training sessions together,” he said.

Madugu expressed optimism about the team’s future, citing the victories as a source of hope and belief.

“It gives us hope and belief that going forward, we will have a more formidable Super Falcons,” he added.

The Super Falcons’ impressive display underscores their potential for success in future competitions.
