Tinubu Unveils 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Emblem

President Bola Tinubu launched the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Emblem and Appeal Fund at the State House in Abuja.

During the ceremony, President Tinubu commended the Armed Forces for their vital role in protecting Nigeria, acknowledging their unwavering commitment to combating threats to national security.

Tinubu emphasized that peace and development cannot be achieved without security, highlighting the military’s invaluable patriotic commitment to Nigeria’s unity, stability, and progress.

He praised the Armed Forces as the country’s first line of defense, recognizing their sacrifices in maintaining national security.

The President’s remarks underscored the importance of honoring the military’s contributions to national security.

Tinubu expressed gratitude for the Armed Forces’ efforts in protecting Nigeria, emphasizing their role in ensuring the country’s stability and progress.

In appreciation of the efforts of fallen heroes, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, pledged a donation of N500 million on behalf of government officials.

On his part, President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, announced a donation of N200 million on behalf of the National Assembly.

Chief Defence Staff, CDS Christopher Musa, also made a significant donation of N50 million on behalf of the service chiefs and the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.

The launch of the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Emblem and Appeal Fund reinforces the importance of recognizing the Armed Forces’ contributions to national security.

President Tinubu’s remarks and the donations made during the ceremony demonstrate the government’s appreciation for the military’s sacrifices and dedication to protecting Nigeria.
