Nigeria’s Super Eagles have made significant strides in the latest FIFA men’s rankings by jumping three spots, moving to 36th globally.

This improvement follows their impressive 1-0 victory over Libya in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

This was disclosed by FIFA in the latest men’s ranking on its official website.

The Super Eagles’ ascent also saw them climb to fourth position in Africa. They now trail only Morocco, Senegal, and Egypt on the continent.

Morocco’s Atlas Lions maintained their top spot in Africa, followed closely by Senegal’s Terangha Lions and Egypt’s Pharaohs.

The Super Eagles previously held the 39th position worldwide and sixth in Africa. Their recent win contributed to their improved standing.

Globally, Argentina retains its top spot, followed by France, Spain, England, and Brazil.
