The All Progressives Congress, APC, National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, has expressed optimism about the party’s future in Rivers State declaring that it will soon become its stronghold.
Ganduje made this statement at the APC National Headquarters in Abuja during the official return of Dawari Ibietela George, the 2023 Action Alliance, AA, governorship candidate to the party.
The APC National Chairman described George as a “big fish” and a skilled politician who will play a pivotal role in securing Rivers State for the APC.
Ganduje assured that a party structure would be established to accommodate George and other returnees.
He emphasized the APC’s commitment to serving the people of Rivers State and Nigeria, stressing that he is confident in rebuilding and repositioning the party in the state.
Notable figures present at the event were members of the National Working Committee, such as Chief Victor Giadom, Vice Chairman South-South, and Titsi Ganama.
Also in attendance were former House of Representatives colleagues of George, including Bimbo Daramola, Bello Ibrahim, Nadu Karibo, and Robinson Uwak.
Tonnie Anierohwom, the AA Deputy Governorship Candidate in Rivers State, joined George in rejoining the APC.
Cyber Reporters gathered that George had earlier paid a courtesy visit to the Action Alliance National Chairman, Ken Udeze to formally inform him of his decision to return to the APC.
Udeze commended George for his contributions to the AA’s development and praised their continued cordial relationship.
