Manchester City midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne has confirmed that he will be leaving the Premier League club at the end of the season.

In a statement posted on social media on Friday, De Bruyne revealed that “these will be my final months as a Manchester City player.”

Cyber Reporters understands De Bruyne’s contract is set to expire in the summer, bringing an end to his eight-year stint at the Etihad.

The Belgian midfielder joined Manchester City in 2015 from Wolfsburg for a transfer fee of £54.5m.

During his time with the club, De Bruyne has enjoyed unparalleled success, winning six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five League Cups, and the Champions League.

De Bruyne was also an integral part of Pep Guardiola’s treble-winning team in the 2020/21 season.

Last summer, De Bruyne was heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, with several clubs reportedly interested in signing him.

However, De Bruyne chose to remain in England and see out the remainder of his contract with Manchester City.

De Bruyne’s departure will undoubtedly be felt at Manchester City, where he has established himself as one of the club’s most decorated and beloved players.

As De Bruyne prepares to embark on a new chapter in his career, fans and pundits alike will be watching with interest to see where the Belgian midfielder will end up next.
